Guardian Appointment

The 14th day of November 1794

Present Honorable Peter Rhoads and David Wagener Esq,Judges,

On the petition of WILLIAM MAJOR one of the minor children of WILLIAM MAJOR late of the State
of New Jersey deceased,-----set forth that the Petitioner who hath since the decease of his
father resided in this County and is yet a minor above the age of fourteen years.Praying that
the court would be pleased to permit him to appear and with the approbation of the Court make
choice of some fit person for his Guardian to take care of his person and Estate.Whereupon the
said minor appeared in Court and did choose EDWARD MAJOR of Mount Bethel Township as for his
Guardian who is approved of by the Court and he the said EDWARD MAJOR is so appointed
accordingly.
