Written by Paul Eugene Hursh of Marengo, Iowa (now deceased) on back of this 
photo : "George Emmet Hursh". 

From the "Hursh Family of Hainesville, Sussex County, New Jersey" written by 
Benjamin Depue Hursh at Hainesville 20 June 1887":
George and Mary Alice "both lived with us and worked the farm during 1874. In 
March 1875 he bought the home farm and began business for himself." 
At the time of marriage, George Emmet was of Centerville and his wife was of 
Sandyston Township.


Additional Comments:
Notice "HURSHS" over the porch. Identity of the child is unknown.
