Nothing was written on the back of the photo. Perhaps it is a young George Emmet and Mary Alice (Rosenkrans) Hursh and child on the Hursh family farm at Hainesville, Sussex County, New Jersey. Notice the barns on the left and what appears to be the orchard (or woodlot) on the right. George and Mary Alice had seven children: Annie Estelle, Benjamin Depue Jr., Belva Alice, Emily, Ella Everitt, Katherine Amelia, Roscoe Conkling. Comments: George Emmet Hursh was born September 21, 1851 and died October 20, 1926 in Sussex County. He married Mary Alice Rosenkrans, daughter of Alfred Everson Rosenkrans and Elizabeth Struble, November 13, 1873. George was son of Benjamin Depue Hursh (1815-1890) and Anna Shay (1818-1894). Benjamin Depue Hursh was son of Anthony Hursh (1793-1847) and Hannah Depue (1791-1848). Father of Anthony Hursh was John Hursh/Hush born 1768 and wife Margaret of Hardyston Township, Sussex County, New Jersey.
