I, John Midaugh of the Township of Wantage, County of Sussex, and State of New Jersey, sensible of the instability of human affairs, and being weak in body and of sound mind and memory, do make and constitute this to be my last will and testament, in the following manner form, viz. First, I give and bequeath to my wife Mary, during her natural life after my decease, the house I now live in and the use of the barn and so on, to the main road, from thence along the road to Saferine DeWitt's line, thence along said line as far as my land extends, and all my land on the east of the house, to the south end of the lot adjoining the woods, from thence to the first ditch, and from thence to the west corner of the lot adjoining the barn, also the lot on the east side of the road leading towards Bow Decker's and adjoining his land. It is likewise my will that she have firewood, or any part of my farm and wood for any repairs on said farm. It is my will that she shall have two horses, waggon, sled, harness and plow and all the farming utensils, four cows, two bedsteads, two beds with two sets of curtains, and bedding sufficient for said beds, and that she shall have all the household furniture she brought here. Secondly, it is also my will that my grandson, John Medaugh shall have all the residue of real estate with all the profits arising therefrom with the proviso he opens the ditches and clears the meadow until my wife's decease. Thirdly, it is also my will after my wife's decease, that my moveable property shall be sold at publik vendue, and also my real estate to be sold by my executors at private sale to best advantage, and the proceeds to be divided between my heirs in the following manner, to wit: my son Solomon to have one hundred and fifty dollars, my son Benjamin one hundred and fifty dollars, my grandson David, son of Levi one hundred and fifty dollars likewise and equal shares with my other grandchildren, my daughter Margaret one hundred dollars, my daughter Charlotte one hundred dollars, my daughter Phebe one hundred dollars, my daughter Anne one hundred dollars, my grandson John Midaugh to have fifty dollars and then an equal share with my other grandchildren, and what remains after paying the above legacies, the remainder shall be divided equally amongst every one of my grandchildren. I do hereby make and constitute and appoint my grandson John Midaugh and John Elston of the Township of Wantage, executors to this my last will and testament.
