Robert Chalmers, Singer Coremaker
Roselle--Robert Chalmers, 83, of 114 Hamilton St. died today in Elizabeth
General Hospital after a brief illness.
Mr Chalmers was born in Ayr, Scotland, and lived in the United States more than
50 years, most of that time in Roselle.
He retired 15 years ago after working 40 years as a coremaker with the Singer
Co., Elizabeth.
He was a member of United Lutheran Church of Linden.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs Lillie Dunn Chalmers; a son, Robert Jr of
Fairfield; a daughter, Mrs Eric Stoll of West Caldwell, and six grandchildren.
Arrangements have been completed by the Leonard Funeral Home, 242 W Jersey St,
Elizabeth.
