She was born Aug. 16, 1939, in Elizabeth, N.J., daughter of Eugene and Gertrude (Bohack) Henry, and attended schools there. After moving to Mirror Lake, she and her husband owned the Bittersweet Restaurant in Wolfeboro for 12 years. For seven years, she owned and managed the J.C. Penney Catalog Store in Wolfeboro Falls. Family members include her husband of 44 years, Robert Chalmers of Mirror Lake; two daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie Sue and William Stout of Kensington, Conn., and Robin Lynn and Jared Mason of Bedford, Mass.; a granddaughter; and a sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Richard Masia of Summit, N.J. There were no calling hours. Services will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Carroll County, P.O, Box 1620, Wolfeboro, NH 03894, or to the American Cancer Society of NH, 360 Route 101, Bedford, NH 03102.
