August Hauser, 85; Long at Singer's

August Hauser, 85, of 131 Second St., a former employee of the Singer
Manufacturing Co., died last night at his home after a brief illness. He was the
husband of the late Mrs Krescenz Hauser.

A native of Germany, Mr Hauser was a resident of Elizabeth for 64 years. A
communicant of St Michael's Church, he retired from Singer's 20 years ago after
30 years' employment.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs Gerard Flynn of Elizabeth; four sons, Leo A of
Elizabeth, John V of Oceanport, Charles of Roselle Park, and William G of
Elizabeth, and nine grandchildren. Leo A Hauser is an Elizabeth Daily Journal
pressman.

The funeral will be from the Robert J Mitchell Funeral Home, 118 Livingston St.
