James C Henry Sr, 83, Long Elizabeth Resident

LINDEN, Aug 19---James C Henry Sr, 83, years old, of 434 Brook street, died
yesterday in the Alexian Brothers' Hospital, Elizabeth. Born in Fall River,
Mass., he lived in Elizabeth 50 years before moving to Linden 15 years ago to
make his home with his daughter, Mrs Valentine Hausleiter, at the Brook street
address.

He was a watchman for the Esso Standard Oil Compnay for 23 years. He retired in
1930. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Elizabeth. His wife was the
late Abigail Kidd Henry.

Besides Mrs Hausleiter, he is survived by two other daughters, Mrs Herman
Hergert of Linden and Mrs Joseph Ewald of Somerville; two sons, James C Henry Jr
and Eugene F Henry, both of Elizabeth, the latter a member of the Elizabeth Fire
Department; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held from the Robert J Mitchell Funeral Home, 18 Livingston
street, Elizabeth.
