Services were held at the home on Tuesday evening, attended by representatives of the Carpenter's Union, Local No. 687, the Independent Schuetzen Corps and the Liedertafel Singing Society, of which he was a member. All of the organizations contributed floral offerings, and others were received from the Betsytown Bowling Club and the officers and directors of the Germania Mutual Savings Association. An address was made by Oswald A Nietzel. The bearers were Harry Knowles, Charles Meiser, and Adam Hoefling, members of the Carpenter's Union, and August Brink, Jacob Trautmann and Henry Mellis, members of the Independent Schuetzen Corps.
