Funeral of James J Shannon

LINDEN, May 27---The funeral of James J Shannon, who died Thursday, was held
yesterday from his home, 1513 Winans avenue. A requiem mass was offered in St
Elizabeth's Church by Rev Timothy Dwyer, O.S.B. Rev Gabriel Steines, O.S.B.,
offered prayers at St Gertrude's Cemetery, Woodbridge, where burial took place.

Flowers were from: Employees of Department 25, General Motors Corporation;
Safety Patrol children, teachers, and pupils of Grades 5 and 6 of School No. 2;
Plant Protection, Local 595 U.A.W.U. of the General Motors Corporation; Fathers'
Council of School No. 2; employees of the Linden Division of General Motors
Corporation, Park Casino Boys, Body-Fitting Department 25, General Motors
Corporation.

The bearers were Joseph Phelan, Louis Deranlean, Edward Walsh, Nicholas Tetrin,
Michael Plusacki, Edward Duffy.
