E-F, pg. 267: This Indenture made the 6 day of June in the Tenth Year of the Reign of our Sovereignty Lord George the second by the Grace of God of Grate Britton _____ King and in the year of our Lord according to the account used in England 1737, Between William Willet and Margarett his wife, Samuel Frederick and Margaret his wife, Edward Stevenson and Glorianna his wife, of Aye in the County of West Chester and province of New York, Gent. on the one part and Henry Woolever of the Township of Amwell in the County of Hunterdon and in the Western Division of the province of New Jersey, yeoman, on the other part, witnefseth that they the said William Willet and Margarett his wife, Samuel Trodwell and Margrett his wife and Edward Stevenson and Glorianna his wife for and in consideration of the sum of 70 pounds current money of the province of New York to them in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery hereof the _____ whereof and of every part and parcell thereof they _____ and William Willett & Mary his wife, Samuel Trodwell & Margrett his wife and Edward Stevenson and Glorianna his wife do all hereby acknowledge and thereof and of every part and parcel thereof doth fully and freely acquit _______ relieve and discharge the said Henry Woolever his heirs and executors and administrators and every of them forever by these presents hath granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents doth ____ freely and absolutely grant bargain sell alien enfeoffs and confirm unto the said Henry Woolever his heirs and afsigns forever. All that tract or parcell of land situate in the aforesaid township of Amwell and being part of and _______ from a larger tract of land formerly surveyed and layd out to John Thomas of _______ County on Long Island within the Collony of New York Gen, Deceased, being butted and bounded in manners following, viz.: Beginning at a small black oak marked on four sides and is a corner of John Mullor's land thence by the same south easterly 44 degrees and 42 chains to a post for a corner in Thomas Lambert's line thence by the same southwesterly 22 degrees and 33 chains to a black oak marked for a corner for the aforesaid line thence north westerly 63 degrees 11 chains to a post for a corner thence north easterly 7 degrees and 25 chains to a white oak marked for a corner Thence northwesterly 35 degrees and 34 chains and a half to another white oak marked for a corner, thence northeasterly 20 degrees and five chains to a post for a corner in Woolever Thence by the same north easterly 60 degrees and 15 chains to a white oak marked and is a corner of William Dollis Land thence by his line southeastwardly 31 degrees and 11 chains to the corner first mentioned containing 142 ares besides the allowance for highways...And whereas James Bennet did by his Indenture of conveyance under his ________ ______ for the consideration therein mentioned did convey and confirm unto John Thomas late of Queens County on Long Island in the Collony of New York a certain part or portion of a propriety of Lands in West New Jersey and which said conveyance bairs date on or about the 7th day of March anno 1706 and the said John Thomas by his application made to the Councill of proprietors obtained a warrant for the takeing up of the Lands due thereon and had the same surveyed and laid for the pursuant to the rules methods and constitutions of the proprietors in that case made and provided and was entered on record according to _____ of that Province of West New Jersey, And the said John Thomas being thus Lawfully seized of and in the above mentioned land and premifses did by his last will and Testament give and bequeath all the aforesaid Lands to his well beloved wife and his two daughters Margrett and Glorianna and which said will bairs date on or about the 28 day of April 1725, and was proved in March A.D. 1726 all which may more plain and all large appear by the above record of conveyance and the said recited Will or the record thereof recourse unto the same being had Together with all the ways, waters, pastures, _______, mines, minerals, woods, ______, fishings, Hunting and ________ and all other royalties franchises powers profits commodities buildings ______ and cleared Land and oof improvements hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever to the said 142 acres of Land belonging or in any wise appertaining and all te Estate right title interest use pofsion property claim and demand whatsoever of them the said William Willet and Margret his wife, Samuel Tredwell and Margret his wife and Edward Stevenson and Glorianna his wife in Law as well as Equity of in to or out of the same or any part or parcel thereof and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents _____ and profits thereof and of every part and parcell thereof TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said Tract of Land as it is above Located butted and bounded containing 142 acres besides allowances for highways and all and singular the premifses herein before mentioned as intended to be hereby granted bargained and sold and every part and parcel thereof with their every of their appertenances unto the said Henry Woolever his heirs and afsigns to the only proper use and behoof of the said Henry Woolever and of his heirs afsigns forever. And they the same William Willet Samuel Tredwell and Edward Stevenson each for themselves and not one for the other of them and for each of their heirs the said Tract of Land containing 142 acres be the same more or lefs sictuate located and Bounded in manner above exprefsed and all and singular the premifses herein before mentioned to be granted bargained and sold and every part and parcell thereof with appurtenances unto the said Henry Woolever and his heirs against them the said William Willet and Margrett his wife and their Heirs and against Samuel Tredwell and Margrett his wife and their heirs and against Edward Stevenson and Glorianna his wife and their Heirs against all manner of persons awhatsoever claiming or that sHall or may at any time hereafter lawfully claim to have any Estate right, title or interest of in or unto the same or any part or parcell thereof _______ will warrant and forever defend by these presents and further that they the said William Willet and Margret his wife, Samuel Tredwell and Margret his wife and Edward Stevenson and Glorianna his wife and all ________ under them sHall and will from time to time and at all times hereafter during the Term of 21 years from hence ____ ensuing at the reasonable request costs and charges in the Laws of thesaid Henry Woolever his heirs or afsigns make do suffer acknowledge and execute or cause or procure to be made done suffered acknowledged and executed all and every such further and other Lawfull and reasonable Act or Acts Deed and Deeds Conveyances and afsurances in the Law whatsoever for the further _______ more perfect afsuring of the said granted Land and premifses with their appurtenances unto the uses abovesaid as by the said Henry Woolever his heirs or Afsigns or his or their Council _______ in the Law sHall be reasonably devised advised or required. Mary Jordan formerly Mary Hill formerly Mary Stanbury she the said Mary being the Sister of the whole blood of Thomas Stanbury and heir at Law of the said Thomas, who was the Son and heir at Law of Mary Stanbury, late Mary Olive Deceased of the one part AND Peter Woolever of Mansfield woodhouse in the County of Sufsex in the province of West Jersey, yeoman, of the other Part. Whereas Certain Indenture dated 23 January 1676 in ______ _______ and by his direction and appointment William Penn Gerwin Lauric ? and Nicholas Lucas DID for consideration Grant unto one William Biddle, Francis (or Thomas) Olive? and Daniel Wills on ______ ______ equal and undivided ninetyth part of the 90 equal and undivided hundred parts of all that Western part of Land called West New Jersey with the appurtances to HOLD to them the said William Biddle, Thomas Olive and Daniel Wills their heirs and afsigns severally and _____ forever And WITNESS by another indenture dated on or about the 6th of October 1693 made between William Biddle and Daniel Wilis of the one part and the said Mary, the mother of the said Mary Pemberton, party hereto by the name and title of Mary Olive of Willingborough in the County of Burlington and province aforesaid, widow late wife and Joint Executor and Afsign of Thomas Olive late of Wilingborough aforesaid Gent, Deceased, and theretofore of Willinborough in the County of Northampton in the Kingdom of England _______. It is mentioned and declared that the said Thomas Olive paid one fourth part of the purchase money with Intent to be Entitled to one fourth part of the premifses AND THEREFORE the same indenture Witnefses that the said William Biddle with the said Mary (Olive) said Daniel Wills DID declare that the said ____ above mentioned Indenture was made and ____ to and in the name of the said William Biddle, Thomas Olive and David Wills In Trust and Confidence neverthelefs as ____ ___ fourth part of one undivided ninetyeth part of the said tract of Land and premifses to them Conveyed as aforesaid to and for the Sole _____ behoof of the said Thomas Olive his heirs and Afsigns forever AND as for his one like fourth part thereof to the use of the said David Wills, his Heirs and afsigns forever AND as for and concerning the other two fourth parts thereof. To the use of the said William Biddle his heirs and afsigns forever AND the said parties to the Same Indenture Did covenant that they and their heirs respectively should at all times thereafter forever stand and be Seized of the premifses to the several and respective use aforesaid as in and by the said recited Indenture recorded with publick records of the Province of New Jersey aforesaid in folio 337 (387 or 837) and 338 (838) in Liber B at Large appear AND Whereas 1,250 acres was surveyed and located in the right aforesaid AND afterwards by virtue of all warrants? from the Councils of Proprietors bearing Date the 7th August 1740 the same was conveyed unto the said Mary party hereto by the name of Mary Jordan in the right aforesaid by metes and bounds and entered in the Surveyor Generals Office at Burlington in Lib BB fol. 29 AND WHEREAS Robert Jordan the former husband of the said Mary party hereto on and about the 12 of December 1741 having on the part and behalf of the said Wife bargained and Sold 550 acres of Land, being the tract of Land hereinafter mentioned and intended to be hereby Granted unto the said Peter Woolever for the Consideration of 145 pounds DID ____ to make a Title Deed unto the said Peter Woolever on the 1 of May then ___ ___ WHICH money he the said Peter Woolever paid unto him the said Robert Jordan in his lifetime NOW THIS INDENTURE WITNEFSETH that the said Israel Pemberton and Mary his wife, _______ for and in Consideration of the aforesaid Sum of 145 pounds so paid aforesaid as for the further Sum of five Shillings unto the said Israel Pemberton and Mary his wife in kind paid by the said Peter Woolever at and before the Sealing and Delivery hereof the receipt of which five shillings is hereby acknowledged HAVE Granted remised released and confirmed AND by their presents DO Grant remise release and confirm unto the said Peter Woolever All That the said mentioned 550 acres of land situate on the north Side of Musconetcong River in the County of Sufsex in West New Jersey aforesaid part of the said 1250 acres aforesaid _____ and recorded in the Surveyor General Office aforesaid BEGINNING at a post at the _____ Corner of John _______ Land and then by the same north 26 degrees and 63 chains to a post, thence North 66 degrees and 84 chains and 25 links to a Black Oak, thence by Land formerly surveyed to Samuel Barker South 26 degrees and 60 Chains to a post near a Black Oak standing on Musconetcong River aforesaid and thence down the same River according to the several courses thereof to the post mentioned post being the place of beginning Together also with all and singular the buildings improvements rights ______ heriditaments and appertenances whatsoever into the aforesaid 550 acres of Land belonging and ____ ____ ________ and _____ thereof. and all the estate right, titles and interests of them the said Israel Pemberton and Mary his wife of in and unto them hereby mentioned to be granted premifses TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said described 550 acres of land and premifses hereby granted and released with the appurtenances unto the said Peter Woolever his heirs and afsigns To the only proper use and behoof of the said Peter Woolever his heirs and afsigns forever AND the said Israel Pemberton doth Covenant for him and his heirs and for the said Mary his wife and for the Heirs of her the said Mary THAT ___ the said Israel Pemberton and Mary his wife and their heirs respectively the aforesaid 550 acres of Land with the appertenances unto the said Peter Woolever his heirs and afsigns against them Israel Pemberton and Mary his wife and their heirs respectively and against all and every other person and person whatsoever lawfully claiming or to claim by from or _____ from her them or any of them and none other sHall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In Witness Whereof the said parties to these presents have interchangeably set their Hands and Seals hereunto dated the day and year first above written Isr. VOL A-C, PG. 154: This Indenture made 30 August 1755 between John Beaumont of Upper MakeField in the County of Bucks and Province of Pensylvania, Yeoman, and Sarah his wife of the one part and Philip Willor of Greenage in the County of Sufsex and Province of West New Jersey, Yeoman, of the other part.WHEREAS John Chapman Surveyor purchased of James Logan 500 acres of Land to be surveyed and taken up any where in West New Jersey & being part of a Warrant granted to the said James Logan dated the 3th of the 12th month A.D. 1722/3 by his Deeds of Lease and Releafe dated the 9th & 10th days of May A.D. 1729, for the consideration therein mentioned TO HOLD to him the said John Chapman his Heirs and afsigns forever, AND the said John Chapman did survey & return for himself 300 acres of Land by his survey dated the 2 January 1724/5 and recorded in the Surveyors Generals Office page 117 in three _____ surveys, recourse thereunto being had may more fully and large appear AND the said John Chapman by his Last Will and Testament in Writing did Devise one of the said hundred acres of Land lying on Pohatcunk which John Lewis lived on to Thomas Wilson AND the said Thomas Wilson by his deed dated the 12 November 1751 for the consideration therein mentioned did grant convey the same land to John Beaumont To Hold to him his Heirs and Afsigns forever. And afterwards John Chapman, the only son and heir at law to the said Chapman Decd., did by his deed dated the 5 May 1762 for consideration therein mentioned among other things did grant the same 100 to John Beaumont TO HOLD to him the said John Beaumont his Heirs and Afsigns forever, recourse to the said deed may more fully and at larege appear AND 27 acres more adjoining to the said hundred acres was surveyed to the said John Beaumont the return of survey bears date 27 April and recorded in the Surveyor Generals Office at Burlington in Liber K, Folio 121, Recourse thereunto being had may more fully and at large appear, And the said John Beaumont caused the aforesaid Lands to be reserved into one tract by Robert Emloy as by his return dated 23 December 1762 and are recorded in Liber L, Folio 74, and is butted and Bounded as followeth (Viz.) BEGINNING at a White Oak Tree standing on the westerly side of Pohatcunck Creek & near to a Red Oak corner of Philip Willers Land formerly Ladd's and running first North 70 degrees East, 2 chains and 80 links to the aforesaid red oak corner of Philip Willer's Thence (2) North 52 degrees East along the said Willer's line 42 chains toa post Thence (3) South 30 degrees East 13 Chains to a Red Oak Stump the Beginning Corner to Joseph Sackets Survey Thence (4) South 50 Degrees West 5 Chains to a stake Thence (5) South 46 Degrees East 19 Chains to a black Oak Thence (6) South 46 Degrees West 36 Chains to a Post, Thence (7) North 45 Degrees West 37 Chains to the place of Beginning Containing 127 Acres of Land befides the usual allowance be the same more of lefs, AND WHEREAS there is another Tract or Parcel of Land lying by the above Described tract and is bounded & limitted as followeth (Viz) BEGINNING at a Small White Oak in a line of Samuel Micklos Land on Pohatcunk Brook & Stands on the Top of the Hill on the North side of the said Brook about 2 Rods from Philip Willers Red Oak Corner formerly Samuel Ladds & runs from thence No. (1) North 15 Degrees West 60 Chains to Willer's Corner Thence (2d) South 87 Degrees 30 Minutes West, 15 Chains to a White Oak Thenc (3) South 30 Degrees West, 7 Chains & 50 Links to a Post, Thence (4) South 78 Degrees East 42 Chains topost Thence (5) South 50 Degrees East 17 Chains to the Beginning Containing 75 acres besides the usual allowances for highways , was inspected and approved by the Council of Proprietors the 9 April 1755 and ordered to be recorded and was recorded in the Surveyor General's Office at Burlington in Lib S No. (6) page 274 Recourse thereunto being had may more fully and at large appear. NOW THIS INDENTURE WITNEFSETH that the said John Beaumont and Sarah his wife for and in consideration of the sum of 350 pounds Lawfull money of West New Jersey to them _________ paid, or secured to be paid by the said Philip Willar, the Receipt whereof they do hereby own and acknowledge and of _____ part and parcell thereof do hereby acquit exonorate and forever discharge the said Philip Willer his Heirs Executors Administrators and every of them by these Presents HAVE granted bargained & Sold Aliened Enfeoffed Released Conveyed and Confirmed AND do for themselves and their Heirs fully freely clearly and absolutely Grant Bargain & Sell unto the said Philip Willor & to his Heirs & Afsigns all the above mentioned tracks or Parcells of Land. TOGETHER also with all and singular the Houses, outHouses, barns, stables, orchards, gardens, woods, underwoods, ______, Swamps, Savannahs ?, Timber and Trees, Ways, Waters, Water courses, Fishings, Fowlings, Hawkings, Huntings, Rights, Liberties, Franchises, Powers, Profits and Commoditys whatsoever belonging to the said Lands or any part thereof and all the Estate Right Title Interest and Property of them the said John Beaumont and Sarah his Wife, Either in Law or Equity of in or to the said Lands or any part thereof with all Deeds, Eveidences and Writngs concerning the said Lands or True Copies thereof to be taken at the proper costs and charges of the said Philip Willer his Heirs or Afsigns TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said Tracks or Parcells of Land above limitted & described and said to contain as above 202 acres of land with the usual allowance be the same more of lefs hereditaments and premifses with their and every of their appurtenances to him the said Philip Willer his Heirs and Afsigns, to the only proper Use Benefit & Behoof of him the said Philip Willer his Heirs and Afsigns forever AND the said John Beaumont the said pieces or parcells of Land limitted and bounded as above described against himself & his Heirs and against all and every other person...(etc.) Signed John Beaumont and Sarah Beaumont. HAVE GRANTED sold, conveyed, unto the said Philip Weller all the parcell of Land situate in the County of Morris and on the Hills between Pohahatcong and Muskonetcong surveyed to Joseph Sacket aforesaid on the right purchafs of Mofs: Sam. & John Novill and ____ Sommans, containing 500 acres bounded as follows BEGINNING at a White Oak tree in the North West Corner running North 60 Degrees East, 23 1/2 Chains then North 30 Degrees West 12 1/2 chains to a Post, Then North 52 Degrees East 41 Chains to a post being along the land formerly surveyed to John Chapman and the Land surveyed for Samuel Ladd, thence South 16 Degrees and 30 Minutes East 110 Chains to a post or stones, then South 56 degrees West 31 Chains then South 55 Degrees West 22 Chains, the two last courses along the Land formerly surveyed to Richard Haines and to William House to a Post and Stones; Thence North 22 Degrees West 88 1/2 Chains to the place of Beginning with all and singular the rights, priviledges, advantages, hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever for said Land property appertaining except three quarters of all mines and minerals that is or sHall be discovered with Liberty to Erect buildings to or for the conveniency of such Mines with Liberty to raise the Oar and Pafs and repafs and carry of the same and every part thereof, also reserving to his Majesty and his succefsors the Quit rents that sHall hereafter become due... Woolever line 6 chains and 36 links to a stone corner thence (4) south 19 degrees east 3 chains to the place of beginning containing 2 acres of land be the same more or lefs, being the same lot of land which said Cornelius Stuart and Elisabeth his wife, conveyed to John S. VOL. 14, PG. 162: Philip Woolever to Kitchen Hartpence, 4 January 1836, both parties being of Township of Mansfield, County of Warren, for consideration of $60, tract of land situate in Township of Mansfield County of Warren, butted and bounded to wit: Beginning at a stone corner to Kitchen Hartpence land and runs from thence (1) North 61 1/2 degrees east 3 chains and 31 links thence (2) along the turnpike 3 chains and 28 links thence (3) south 76 1/2 degrees east 44 links to the beginning containing 23 perches of land more of lefs.
