Woolever, Jr. (sjaw@citlink.net) http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ******************************************************** Gainesville Daily Register TX Mrs Edith Woolever Caskey Funeral services for Mrs Edith Caskey,80 mother of F.G.;[Ted] Caskey,1315, East Pecan St,who died Friday morning in a local hospital,will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Leazer-Keel Funeral Home chapel, the Rev Keener Isbell, pastor of the First Methodist church, and the Rev Rawlins Cherryhomes, pastor of the Dixon St Christian church, officiating. Internment will be in Fairview cemetery. Mrs Caskey was born December 3,1867, in Hackettstown,N.J. and following the death of her husband in 1938, she had made her home with her son, the family moving to Gainesville in 1942, She was a member of the Hackettstown Methodist church, and had been a member of the Eastern Star for many yrs.She had been seriously ill for about two weeks. Mrs Caskey is survived by her son and two nieces both of whom reside in NJ Bearers include,Tom Hayes,Floyd Bomar,Claude Jones,Tom Blount, and Percy Sparks of Gainesville and Forest Perieto of Sherman F.G.Caskey Funeral services for F.G.[Ted] Caskey of 1315 Pecan St, were conducted at 3--- today at the First Methodist church with Dr Earl J.Patton pastor, officating.Internment was in Fairview cemetery under direction of Geo J.Carrol and Son Funeral home. Caskey, a residant of Gainesville for the past 14yrs died early Monday in his home after an illness of several yrs. He is survived by his wife and a brother in-law and sister in-law,Mr and Mrs. Harry T.Bird of Gainesville. Caskey was head of the Texas Welfare office in Cooke county for several years and was a member of the Kiwanis club,the Veterand of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
