 Newark Evening News dated January 10, 1887

        A Brakeman's Terrible Death
               A horrible railroad accident, which resulted in the death of
George Willever, a brakeman on the Dover express train, occurred at Rockaway
on Saturday night.  Willever was crossing from the top of  one freight car
to another, when he slipped  and fell between the cars.  The wheels of  four
cars passed over his body, cutting off  both legs and crushing his skull.
Death  was instantaneous.  The unfortunate man  was  twenty five years of
age, and a resident of Hackettstown.  A widow and one child survive him.
