NOLAN, 53 a prominent business man and resident of Hackettstown for many years, died at 2:0'clock this morning in Easton Hospital, where he was admitted a week ago for surgical treatment, Mr. NOLAN was secretary and treasurer oh the Board of Water Commisioners of Hackettstown. He was a member of Independence Lodge No. 42, P and A.M; of Vigilance Hook and Ladder Company and of the Hackettstown Men's Club For many years he had conducted a stationery and news store in the Harris building at Hackettstown and before being in business for himself, was employed by the people who formerly conducted the store. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Laura EYERS NOLAN and by one sister, Mrs. William Houston, of Phillipsburg. ==== Obit Index Eastern Express Nolan Harry G. 5/2/1933 p.8 Funeral of Harry G.NOLAN The funeral of Harry G. NOLAN will be held Thursday at 2 p.m., at his home 117 High street, Hackettstown. The Rev. H. R. BREISCH, pastor of the Methodist Espiscopal Church, Hackettstown, will be in charge Internment will be made in Hackettstown Union Cemetery. Mr NOLAN was a member of Independence Lodge No. 42, P.& A.M since May 3, 1904, and Masonic, funeral services will be conducted. Vigilance Hook and Ladder Company and the Hackettstown Club to which he also belonged will be represented. MR. NOLAN was recently elected secretary and collector for the Hackettstown Board of Water Commissioners, for many years he had a stationery store in Hackettstown. NOLAN Passes Away Following Operation After an afflection of long standing and of which he never complained, Harry G.NOLAN was compelled to consult his physician and upon his advice was addmitted to the Easton General Hospital.His case was acute and he was operated on at once for ulcers of the stomach.Not much hope was offered his many friends and relatives,but he rallied and lingered for a week when his condition suddenly grew worse and the end came Subday morning. Harry G.NOLAN'S is one of the oldest established business places on Main street. He served as clerk and finally purchased the William F. KLUPPELBERG business. Later he moved the business to the Harris block where it has remained since. He had filled the position of secretary to the Board of Water Commioners for a long term of years and acted as their collector. He was a member of Vigilant Hook and Ladder Co., the Hackettstown Club, and a member of Independance Lodge, No. 42. Fand A.M. of 29 years standing, and these organizations attended his funeral. wuth Masonic honors at the grave. He is survived by his wife, and a sister residing in Phillipsburg. Funeral services were held at his late home, 117 High street. Thursday afternoon. Rev. H.R. BREISCH, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church, officiated. Internment was in Union Cemetery.
