Major-Deceased Proved and Ordered November 10,1855 In the Surrogate Office Of Warren Co N. J. in Book of Wills VOL 3 fol 166 P.H.---- Surrogate State Of New Jersey Warren Co, Elizabeth Major & Frederick Miller the Executors in the written Testament named, being duly sworn and depose and signed, That The written instrument contains the true last will and Testament Of Conrad Major the testator. Thence in named so far as they know And as they verify, believe, that they will well and truly perform the Same, by paying first the debts of the said deceased, and then the Legacies in the said Testament specific so far as the goods, chattels, and credits of the said deceased & all thereunto extended and that they will make and publish unto the Surrogates Office at Belverder a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the goods, chattels, and credits of the said deceased, that have or shall come of their knowledge or happiness as to the happiness of any other person or persons for their use and ----- . Major of the Township of Oxford County of Warren and State Of New Jersey. Being of sound mind and memory, blessed be Almighty God for the same do make and publish this as my last will and Testament. FIRST: that as soon as may be after my decease that my personal property be disposed of at public sale and the money be applied to the real estate. SECOND: give and bequeath to my beloved wife Elizabeth all of my real estate as long as she shall remain married and my widow, but on her decease or marriage I give and devise to my Children Mary Ann, Sarah, John, James, Emma, and Thomas and their heirs respectively to be divided in equal shares between them. I do nominate and appoint my beloved wife Elizabeth to be the Executor and Fredrick Miller my father in law Executor of this my last will and Testament Signed Conrad Major SIGNED: sealed declared and published by the said Conrad R. Major as and for his last will and Testament in the presence of us, when at his request and in his presence, and in presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses hereunto October - 1855 Henry C.
