In the matter of the probate of the Last Will and Testament Mary Jane Woolever[Deceased] Be it rembered that on the 12th day of Sept A.D.1898,the Executrix named in the last Will and Testament of Mary Jane Woolever,late of the Township of Mansfield,in the County of Warren,deceased,appeared before the Surrogate of the County of Warren,and made application to have the said Will and Testament,and proff thereof,are as follows,that is to say: In the name of God Amend,I Mary Jane Woolever of the Township of Mansfield, County of Warren and State of New Jersey,Being in declining health,but of Sound and disposing mind,Memory and understanding,and being desirous of making a Testamintary disposition of my property,do make,publish,pronounce, and declare,this writing to be my last will and testament in manner,and to the effect as follows. _________________________________ Namely: 1st. I do hereby order and direct that all ? ? ?y first debts and funeral expenses be duly paid and satisfied as soon as conveniant after my decease. __________________________________ 2nd. I order and direct My Executor to sell at public sale,all my household goods of every kind,as soon as conveniant after my decease,also my real estate at Rockport within one year after my decease:the residlue of these Sales to be divided as follows,First I give devise and bequeathe out of these sales fifty dollars to be paid to my grand daughter MYRLTE MAY GERARD wife of JAMES GERARD,the balance of said residue to be equally divided between my daughter CATHERINE A.POOL wife of JOSEPH POOL of the Township of Mansfield County Of Warren and State of New Jersey,or in case of her death to her children share and share alike.And the five children of my deceased daughter ,MARY ALICE NORTON;namely MYRTLE MAY GERARD,BENJAMIN NORTON,MABLE NORTON,EDWARD NORTON,the same to be paid to them by my Executor,when they arrive at the age of twenty one years. _____________________________________________ 3rd.Whereas I hold a promisory note against JOSEPH POOL,a Mortgage against WILLIAM P.BARTON,also a Policy of life insurance against the Prudential life insurance Company.Ihereby give devise and bequeath the resiclue of the claims, together with any Bank accounts I may have at the time of my decease to my daughter CATHERINE A.POOL after the payment of my first debts,funeral expence and the expence of getting my Estate from this residue. _________________________ 4th.I do hereby nominate,constitute and appoint my daughter CATHERINE A.POOL of Mansfield Township Warren County N.J.Executrix of this my last Will and testament. Samuel Stewart one of the witness to the within will,being duly sworn,did depose and say that he saw MARY JANE WOOLEVER the tertatrix therein named sign,and seal the sameand heard her,publish,pronounce and declare the within writing to be her last will and testament,and taht at doind there of the said testatrix was of sound and disposing mind and memory,as far as this deponent knows,and as he verily beleives,and that W.P.Barton the other subscribing witness was present at the same time,and signed his name as a witness to the said will,together with deponent,in the presence of the testatrix and of each other at the testatrix's request. Catherine A.Pool.the Executrix in the within testament named,being duly sworn, on her oath did depose and say that the within instrument contains the true last will and testament of Mary Jane Woolever the testatrix herein named,so far as she knows,and as she verily believes;that she will well and truly perform the same,by paying first the debts of the said deceased,and then the legacies in the testament specified,so far as goods,chattels andcredits of the said deceased can thereunto extend;and that she will make and exhibit into the Surrogate's office of Belvidere,in the County of Warren, a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the goods,chattels and credits of the said deceased that have or shall come to her knowledge or possessions,or to the possession of any other person for her use and render a just and true account when thereunto lawfully required;and that the said Mary Jane Woolever died on the twenty nineth day of August A.D.,1898 Sworn and subscribed at Belvidere this 12th Signed-Catherine A.Pool day of Sept A.D.,1898 before me. Geo L.Shillinger [Surrogate] WARREN COUNTY SURROGATES OFFICE In the matter of the probate of the Last Will and Testament [Order for Probate] Mary Jane Woolever Deceased Application on having been made to me by Catherine A.Pool for probate of the last Will of Mary Jane Woolever deceased,and letters testamentary thereon, and the deposition of one of the subscribing witnesses to the same having been duly executed according to law,and that more that ten days have elapsed since the death of the testatrix,it is on this Twelfth day of Sept,A.D. 1898,ordered and adjudged that the said Will and the same is hereby established as last Will ana Testament of Mary Jane Woolever,the said deceased,and that the same shall be and is admitted to probate,and that letters testamentary be granted.
