Betancourt of Carlsbad, NM. She died on December 15 in Lubbock, Texas. She was born on October 9, 1918, in North Bennington, Vt., to John Louis Hurley and Mary Ellen (Haynes) Hurley. She was married to Albert J. Betancourt on August 5, 1940, in Seekonk, Mass. He preceded her in death on June 10, 1990. She was a membe of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Artesia. She is survived by a son, Robert Betancourt of Carlsbad; brother Franklin Bowdoin of Peoria, Ariz.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
