From: patti pennington ************************************************************ The following excerpts were taken from page 10 - The Artesia (NM) Daily Press - November 5, 1999 BROWN Graveside services are November 9, at Lake Arthur Cemtery, Lake Arthur, NM, for Odell Brown of 1107 S. Second Street, Artesia. Brown, 65, died November 5 at Artesia General Hospital. He was born August 18, 1934, in Jacksonville, Tex., the son of Choice Victory Brown and Isabell Rebecca Smith Brown. He married Vodine DePauw on October 8, 1953, in Levelland, Texas. They moved to Artesia in 1959 from Levelland. Survivors include his wife, Vodine Brown, of the home; father C.V. Brown of Artesia; son David Brown, wife Linda, of Mount Airy, NC; daughters Debbie Golden, husband Jimmy, of Ward, Ark., Pam Thurman, husband Mike, of Artesia, and Becky Ingram, husband Randy, of Artesia; brothers Jackie Brown of Longview, Tex., and Billy Joe Smith of Del Rio, Tex.; seven granchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
