From: patti pennington ************************************************************ The following excerpts were taken from page 8 - The Artesia (NM) Daily Press - November 4, 1999 COPPER Memorial mass is scheduled November 5, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockport, Texas for former Artesia resident, Clarence Laird Copper of Rockport. Copper, 74, died on November 3 in Rockport. He served in the US Navy during WWII. He is survived by his wife, Virginia, of Rockport; sons Mark Copper, wife Jihying, of Dearborn, Mich., and Thomas Copper, wife Sharon, of Houston, Tex.; daughter Kimberly Copper of Portland, Ore.; brother George Copper of Milmont Park, Pa.; sisters Margaret Koerner, Virginia Rogers and Patty Copper, all of Pennsylvania; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, John J. Copper, in 1990.
