CARMICHAEL
Services are scheduled for Monday, September 20, at Wheeler
Mortuary Chapel for former Artesia resident Clara (Roberson)
Carmichael of Roswell, NM.  Carmichael, 84, died on September 17
at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center in Roswell.  Interment
will follow at Elida Cemetery.  Carmichael was born on 
January 1, 1915, in Kenna, NM, to Mabel and Oscar Ray Roberson.
She married Carlton J. Carmichael, on September 1, 1935 in 
Portales, NM.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton,
in 1984; her parents; two brothers, three sisters; and a grand
child.  She is survived by a son, Jim Carmichael, wife Edna,
of Albuquerque, NM; daughters Elaine Horner and Ila Nettesheim, 
husband Killian, all of Artesia.
