DeMars of 1105 Runyan. DeMars, 45, died on October 31 in Portales, NM. Direct cremation is under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary. He was born on October 1, 1954, in Artesia to Ted Basil DeMars and Mary Ruth (Jones) DeMars. He never married. He was a member of First Christian Church in Artesia. He is survived by his father, Ted DeMars of Artesia; sister Kay Mathis, husband Jack, of Bartlesville, Okla.; grandmother Dorothea DeMars of Trout, La.; uncles Don DeMars, wife Anita, of Carlsbad, Calif., and James Guy Jones of Artesia; and an aunt, Louise Windham, husband Fred, of Trout. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ruth DeMars, in 1985. (Photo shown)
