The following excerpts were taken from page 8 of The Artesia
(NM) Daily Press - September 8, 1999

GRIFFIN
MARION ANN LUNDEEN GRIFFIN died on September 5, 1999 at 
Fairview University Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  She
was 84 years old.  She was born to Gustaf Adolphus Lundeen
and Ida Louise Nelson in Minneapolis on October 22, 1914.
She married Virlon Robert Griffin in Cresco, Iowa, on 
June 16, 1940.  She was preceded in death by her husband,
Virlon, in Roswell, NM, in March 1999.  Survivors include
her daughter Andrea, son-in-law Bill Carpenter, and grandson
Christopher; another daughter Gloria Hoglund, and husband
George Hoglund.  Joint memorial services for Marion and
Virlon Griffin are scheduled for Friday, September 10, at
First Baptist Church of Artesia.
