Missouri. Haynes, 78, died on December 20 at Artesia General Hospital. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Haynes was born on June 23, 1921, in Carlsbad to Samuel S. Haynes and Tina Mae (Cave) Haynes. She was never married. She was a retired public school teach at Central Elementary in Artesia. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Delta Kappa Gamma, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, New Mexico's Teacher's Association and the Retired Teacher's Association. She is survived by brothers Samuel S. Haynes and Clarence Dwight Haynes, both of Lakeland, Fla.; sister Rebecca Cleere of Birmingham, Ala.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Deroy Haynes, and her parents.
