LORENE G. JOHNS
Services are scheduled at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 24, 1999 at
Terpening & Son Chapel for Lorene G. Johns of 401 W. Chisum.
Johns, 81, died on August 21 in Artesia.  Burial will be at
Twin Oaks Memorial Park.  Johns was born on November 11, 1917,
in Direct, Texas, the daughter of George Alfred Bynum and Lona
Mae (Jackson) Bynum.  She married A.W. Johns in Hollis, Oklahoma
on December 30, 1935.  She came to Artesia in 1957 from  
Monahans, Texas. Her husband preceded her in death on
September 13, 1986
