Obituaries

JANES
Graveside services are November 29, at Carlsbad Cemetery in
Carlsbad, NM, for Gene M. Janes of Danville, Iowa.  Janes, 63,
died on November 21 at the Danville Care Center.  Janes was 
born on November 7, 1936, in Carlsbad to Johnathon William and
Ruby Alvis Hudson Janes.  He married Sally F. Mitchell on
November 29, 1953, in Juarez, Mexico.  He is survived by his 
wife, Sally F. Janes of Burlington; sons Randy G. Janes and
Rickey D. Janes, both of Burlington; daughters Janie Mendoza
of York, Ariz., Nila D. Carle of Keithsberg, Ill., Brenda
Twylene Patrick of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Mallory D. Oliver
of Danville; brother Jimmy R. Janes of Artesia; sisters Frances
Gamel of Carlsbad and Cleone Spencer of Kerrville, Texas; 10
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
