First. Johnson, 56, died on November 18 at his home. Interment will follow at Hagerman cemetery. Johnson was born on October 30, 1943 in Artesia to Herman Lott Johnson and Mabel Allie (Troublefield) Johnson. He was married to Mary Alice Melton on June 9, 1973, in Artesia. He was a member of Clark Memorial United Methodist Church. Johnson served in the US Army in Vietnam. He is survived by his wife, Mary Johnson of the home; son Wesley (Ike) Johnson of Artesia; daughters Mitzi Fallis, husband Stephen and Shannon Johnson, all of Artesia; brothers Randy Johnson, wife Betty, George Moreau, wife Frances, and Jimmy Moreau, wife Pam, all of Artesia, Joe Johnson, wife Chere, of Arkansas and Dale Moreau, wife Vickie, of Carlsbad, NM; sisters Pat Loewenstein, husband Larry, of San Antonio, Texas, Sharon Squier, husband Larry, of Canyon, Texas, and Mary Kay McCollum, husband Randy of Artesia; three grandchildren; 18 nieces; and 15 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather Roy Moreau.
