Obituaries

LEYBA
Services were today at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in
Artesia, for Paulita J. Leyba of 1506 N. 10th.  Leyba, 85,
died on November 20 at Artesia General Hospital.  Interment
followed at San Marcos Cemetery.  Leyba was born on 
October 11, 1914, in Dayton, NM, to Jose Jimenez and Gregoria
(Orona) Jimenez.  She married Carlos G. Leyba on February 10, 1942,
in Carlsbad, NM.  She is survived by her husband, Carlos G.
Leyba Sr. of the home; sons Alfredo Leyba and wife Edna of
Hobbs, NM, Sammy J. Leyba Sr., wife Yolanda, of Odessa, Texas, 
and Carlos J. Leyba Jr., wife Esther, of Artesia; daughter
Angelita Carrera, husband Alberto, of Artesia; sisters
Josephine Leyba of Artesia and Lucy Catano of Farmington, NM;
daughter-in-law Loraine Leyba of Silver City; 13 grandchildren;
and 12 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a
son, Victor Leyba.
