Petersen, 85, died on December 30 at her son's home, 1110 N. Roselawn in Artesia. She was born October 22, 1914, in Minneapolis, Minn., to Henry Mangen and Elizabeth (Van-Elmt) Mangen. She married Carl Milford Petersen in Minneapolis. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1970. She was a longtime resident of Maple Plain. She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Medina, Minn. She is survived by sons Raymond Petersen of Brooklyn Park, Minn., Thomas Petersen of Garrison, Minn., Lawrence Petersen of Brainerd, Minn., Jeff Petersen of Montrose, Minn., Vincent Petersen of Artesia, Steve Petersen of Elk River, Minn., Greg Petersen of Anoka, Minn., and Kevin Petersen of Brooklyn Center, Minn.; daughters Carolyn Sargent of Crosslake, Minn., Mary Sherbrooke of Otsego, Minn., and Cecilia Schulte of Navarre, Minn.; 22 grand- children; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; two sisters, a granddaughter; and a son-in-law.
