From: patti pennington ************************************************************ The following excerpts were taken from page 8 - The Artesia (NM) Daily Press - November 2, 1999 VALENZUELA Services are scheduled for November 3, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Artesia, for Paulina E. Valenzuela of 608 N. 14th street. Valenzuela, 76, died October 31 at her home. Burial will be at San Marcos Cemetery in Artesia. She was born June 22, 1923, in Redford, Tex., to Jorge Valenzuela and Josefa Estrada Valenzuela. She married Blas Valenzuela on December 22, 1942 in Mulato, Mexico. He preceded her in death in 1964. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Survivors include sons, Ruben Valenzuela, Benito Valenzuela and Amador Valenzuela, all of Artesia; daughter, Blanca Catano of Redford; brothers, Alejo Valenzuela of Artesia and Sotero Valenzuela of Morton, Texas; sister, Alejandra Reyes of Odessa, Tex.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son Pilar Valenzuela, a brother and a sister. (Photo shown)
