Obituaries

YATES
Services are pending at First United Methodist Church for
Louise D. Yates of Albuquerque, NM.  Yates, 84, died on
December 5 at Lovelace Hospital in Albuquerque.  She lived most
of her adult life in Artesia, although she resided for the past
seven months in Albuquerque.  She is survived by sons Fred G. Yates,
and George M. Yates, both of Roswell, and Harvey Yates Jr. of
Albuquerque; and brother Roy Davidson of Raton, NM.  She was
preceded in death by brothers Earl Davidson of Santa Fe, NM, and
Bill Davidson of Carlsbad, NM.  A memorial service will be 
on December 9, in Albuquerque at the University of New Mexico
Chapel to be followed by a reception.  Her funeral will be in 
Artesia at a later date.

YATES
A funeral service is planned December 22 at First United Methodist
Church in Artesia, for Louise D. Yates of Albuquerque, NM.  
Yates, 84, died December 5 at Lovelace Medical Center in 
Albuquerque.  Burial will follow at Woodbine Cemetery.  Yates
was born January 9, 1915, in Williford, Ark., to Ransom Davidson
and Annie (Wilson) Davidson.  She is survived by sons Harvey
Yates Jr. of Albuquerque, Fred Yates of Roswell, NM, and George
Yates of Roswell; brother Roy Davidson of Raton, NM; eight
granddaughters; and one grandson.  She was preceded in death by
brothers Earl Davidson and Bill Davidson.
