Interment will follow at Woodbine Cemetery. She died February 11 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, TX. Terpening & Son Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. She was born April 26, 1930, in Chickasha, Okla., to Floyd M. and Christine Harper Martin. She married Jesse Thomas Austin on September 3, 1948, in Roswell, NM. They moved to Artesia from Oklahoma in 1958 and to Las Cruces four months ago. She was preceded in death by her parents, her oldest child, Connie O. Austin, in 1968, and brother, Calvin Martin. survivors include her husband, Jesse T. Austin of the Veterans Center, Truth or Consequences, NM; stepmother, Lou Martin of Ft. Worth, TX; daughters, Paula J. Phillips of Albuquerque, NM, Naomi R. Austin of Atlanta and Debbie LeClear of Lubbock; a son, Thomas W. Austin of Las Cruces; sisters, Lois R. Green of Houston, TX, Helen R. Ripple of Springtown, TX, and Mary Jo Cotton of Ft. Worth; brothers, Carl Martin of Weatherford, TX, Jimmy F. Harper of Albuquerque and Donnell Harper and Gilbert Harper of Ft. Worth; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
