Burial will follow at Carlsbad Cemetery. Bricker died January 9 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. Denton-Funchess Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. He was born June 14, 1928, to William Clyde Bricker in Sonora, Texas, where he was raised. After high school, he enlisted in the Navy during the Korean War. After the war he came to the Permian Basin area. He was a Baptist. He is survived by his wife, Myrtis Bricker of Carlsbad; two stepsons, Randy Wilson of Carlsbad and Preston Wilson of Rusk, Texas; a stepdaughter, Sherilyn Bricker of Carlsbad; two brothers, Royce Bricker of Farmington, NM and Jack Bricker of Carlsbad; a sister, Dorothy Brown of Oklahoma; and five nephews who he raised as children, Bobby Bricker of Hagerman, NM, Scott and Jody Bricker of Carlsbad, Tommy Bricker of Denton, Texas, and Jackie Lee Bricker of Washington State.
