CALLIS
Funeral services are scheduled for Elbert Callis, 90, of
Roswell, NM on January 24 at the Abbey Chapel of Resthaven
Funeral Home of Lubbock, Texas.  Interment will follow in
Resthaven Memorial Park.  Callis died January 20 at Mission Arch
Care Center in Roswell.  Resthaven Funeral Home is in charge of
arrangements.  He was born May 2, 1909, in Melrose, Texas.  He
married Ida Mae Foley on November 14, 1933, in Littlefield, TX.
He lived in Lubbock from 1962 to 1992.  They moved to Roswell in
1992.  He was preceded in death by one brother, two sisters and
a grandson, Terry McGaha.  Survivors include his wife, Ida Mae
Foley Callis of the family home; a son, the Rev. Elbert R. Callis
of Dyersburg, Tenn.; daughters, Mary Ann Marsh and Patsy McGaha
of Roswell and Janet Arnold of Artesia; brother, Clyde Callis of
Walla Walla, Wash.; sisters, Opal Pugh of El Paso, TX and Wilda
Hendricks of Cedar Hill, TX; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grand-
children; and two great-great-grandchildren.
