She died on January 19 at Landsun Health Service Center. West Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born September 9, 1910, in Memphis, TX to Ellis A. and Mary Paralee Burnett Thomas. She was raised and educated in Memphis. She married C.W. Carder Jr. on February 10, 1930, in Clovis, NM. They made their home in Amarillo. In January 1967, she and her husband moved to Carlsbad. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, C.W. Carder Jr. of the family home; daughter, Charlyn Carder of Mesa, Ariz.; brother, James H. Thomas of Progresso Lake, TX; and sister, Dr. Amilda Thomas of McAllen, TX. (Photo shown of Carder)
