Dillard, 92, died on January 24 at the New Mexico Veterans Center in Truth or Consequences. A former resident of Artesia, Dillard was an attorney and practiced in Artesia, Roswell and Farmington. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and a veteran of World War II, having served in the US Army. He was born in Waurika, Okla., on February 4, 1907, to Ralph Hays Dillard and the former Ollie (Richardson) Dillard. He is survived by sons David P. Dillard of Rociada, NM, and Philip H. Dillard of Cedar City, UT; daughter Margaret D. Yoder of Highland, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
