"Bill" Knight, 70, on January 8, at West Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation will take place. Knight died January 5, at Odessa Medical Center, Odessa, Texas. He was born on January 1, 1930, in Brady, Texas, to Jim and Mayme Stapleton Knight. He was raised and educated in Odessa for most of his childhood. He married Allie McGuire on August 3, 1949, in Odessa, Texas. He was drafted into the Marine Corps in 1952 and served two years in Korea. He was a member of the VFW No. 8703 in Carlsbad. He was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Cree. Survivors include his wife, Allie Knight of the family home; son, Perry Knight of Green River, Wyo.; daughters, Audrey Knight of San Angelo, Texas, and Carol Knight of Carlsbad; sister, Shirley Jester of Waller, Texas; half-sisters, Helen Reid and Betty Johnson of Brownwood, Texas; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
