METHOLA
Funeral services are scheduled for Micaela D. "Mickie" Methola, 74,
on January 20 at San Jose Catholic Church.  Interment will follow
at Santa Catarina Cemetery.  She died January 16 at her home.  Denton-
Funchess Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  She was born
July 21, 1925, in Carlsbad to Jean Methola and Loretta Dominguez
Methola.  She was raised in Carlsbad.  She was preceded in death by
a daughter, Loretta Jean Acosta; son, Frank M. Olguin; sister, Rita
M. Carrasco; and brother, Felix Methola.  Survivors include sons, 
Joe M. Olguin of San Antonio, TX and Rudy M. Olguin of Carlsbad;
daughter, Belinda Berrera of Austin, TX; three grandsons raised as
sons, Michael Acosta, Gary Acosta and Jeffery Acosta of Carlsbad;
brother, Raymond Methola of Carlsbad; sister, Mary Martinez of Carlsbad;
grandsons, Michael Olguin and Greg Olguin of San Antonio, and
Travis Berrera of Austin; granddaughters, Elizabeth Gonzales
of San Antonio, Valerie Cole, Sarah Olguin and Jaime Olguin of
Carlsbad, Loretta Barrera of Austin and Jeanie Marie Olguin of
Las Cruces, NM; and 15 great-grandchildren.  (Photo shown of Methola)
