They moved to Carlsbad in 1963. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Ramon, Carmen, Jesus and Jose Navarro; and two sisters, Dolores Montez and Maria Mendoza. She died February 22 at her home. Denton-Funchess Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born May 9, 1921, in Bosanska, Dubica, Yogoslavia, to Nikola and Milka Costich Mladjenovich. She left Yogoslavia in the early 1940's and migrated to Germany. In 1956, she and her family came to America and settled in Gary, IN. In 1978, she moved to Houston with her daughter and family. They came to Carlsbad in 1986. She was a member of the Serbian Orthodox Church for many years. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. Survivors include a son, Peter Runich of Durham, NC; daughter, Mickey Youngman of Carlsbad; four grandchildren; and three great-grand- children. Mason rites will be performed by the members of Eddy Lodge No. 21 AF & AM. He died February 16 at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, TX. West Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born September 8, 1927, in Ashdown, Ark., in Little River County to Jennings and Irene Hunt Russell. He lived in Carlsbad for a while. He moved to El Paso in 1961. Survivors include his wife, Billie C.
