RUTLEDGE
Former Artesia resident Charles Allen Rutledge died on January 3
in Brawley, Calif., of heart failure.  He was 79.  He moved 
from Artesia to Calif. several years ago.  He was preceded in
death by his mother and father and four brothers.  Survivors
include his wife, Virginia; two daughters; brothers LeRoy
Rutledge, wife Jeanette, of Artesia and Alford Rutledge, wife
Juanita, of Quitman, Texas.
