Submitted by: patti pennington ************************************************************ The following excerpts were taken from page 8 - The Artesia (NM) Daily Press - February 1, 2000 RODRIQUEZ A memorial service was January 28 in Riverside for former Lakewood resident Jose "Joe" Rodriquez of San Bernardino, Calif. Rodriquez, 75, died on January 24 after a lengthy illness. He was a veteran who served in WWII. He is survived by his wife, Rufina Gonzales Rodriquez of the home; children Frances, Joe Jr., Kathy and Victoria, all of California; sisters Mrs. Juan Chavez and Mrs. Nick Ridriquez, both of Artesia; and several grand- children. He was preceded in death by his parents, Christobal Rodriquez of Lakewood; and brothers Frank Rodriquez and Luis Rodriquez, who was killed in the Bataan Death March.
