Submitted by: patti pennington ************************************************************ The following excerpts were taken from page 10 - The Artesia (NM) Daily Press - January 14, 2000 REYNOLDS Services are January 15 at Terpening & Son Chapel for former Artesia resident Emma Joree Reynolds of Tuttle, Oklahoma. Reynolds, 85, died on January 12 at Tuttle. Interment will be at Twin Oaks Memorial Park in Artesia. She was born on January 7, 1915, in Little Rock, Miss., to Jodie Smith and Ava (Wansley) Smith. She married Charles Henry Reynolds on April 8, 1933, in Newton, Miss. He preceded her in death on April 24, 1988. They came to Artesia in 1937 from Mississippi, then moved to the Tuttle area in 1992. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Artesia. She is survived by a daughter, Charlotte Bisbee, husband Jerry, of Bridge Creek, Okla.; sisters Evelyn Jenkins and Roberta Williams both of Little Rock; sisters- in-law Hazel Smith of Little Rock and Rose Lowery, husband Alton, of Silver City; three grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Raymond Smith; and sister Maurine Chaney.
