She died February 10 at Landsun Health Service Center. Denton-Funchess Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born May 31, 1906, in Arnett, Oklahoma Territory, to Albert Louis and Reika Beumer Allinger. They moved to Carlsbad in 1909 where she graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1922. She attended New Mexico Teachers' College in Silver City and Colorado State Teachers' College in Greeley. She married James W. Stagner on July 26, 1929. He preceded her in death on August 27, 1959. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death also by her parents and a brother, Alvin Allinger. Survivors include daughters, Mary Walker and Louise Wilson of Carlsbad; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
