She died January 9 at Lakeview Christian Home. Denton-Funchess Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born on January 25, 1920 to Henry A. and Katherine Brown Selleck in Bisbee, Ariz. She grew up in El Paso, Texas, where she lived most of her life and graduated from El Paso High School in 1938. She became a policewoman for the El Paso Police Department in the early 1960's, until her retirement in 1975. She then moved to Carlsbad. She attended First United Methodist Church. She donated her body to the Texas Tech University School of Medicine anatomical donations. Her only survivors include a nephew, A.E. "Gene" Bickerstaff of Carlsbad; and friend, Harriette Kirby.
