The Artesia (NM) Daily Press - September 17, 2009 - Pg. 8
Services will be held on September 18th at Faith Baptist Church in Artesia for 
Edith Buchanan (Devine).  She died September 15, 2009 at home.  Burial will be 
at Woodbine Cemetery.  She was born January 13, 1939 in Morton, TX to Lloyd 
Newman and Edith (Hawk) Newman.  She was a lifelong resident of Artesia.  She 
married Jack D. Buchanan on January 19, 1957 in Artesia.  He preceded her in 
death on April 29, 1998.  She married Frank Devine in Pinon, NM on January 17, 
2004.  He preceded her in death on November 20, 2008. Survivors include 
daughters Karen Forlines and husband Danny and Kathy Greenwood and husband Joe 
all of Artesia; brothers Donald Newman and wife Lila of Olathe, KS and Frank 
Newman of Eunice, NM; sisters Mary Scott and husband Fred of Midland, TX and 
Opal Deaton of Artesia.  Services are under the direction of Terpening & Son 
Mortuary.
