  FARMINGTON. Pop 1,000. San Juan County. An incorporated village on the D & R G
R R 14 miles s w of Aztec the county seat. It is in the center of a fine
fruitgrowing section which is the principal industry. Has Adventist, Baptist,
Catholic, Free Methodist, Methodist and Presbyterian churches, 2 banks, 2
hotels, a canning factory, a creamery, a planing mill, several irrigation
companies, a commercial club, an opera house, an electric light plant and
waterworks. Two weekly newspapers the Enterprise and the Times-Hustler are
