ORTIZ, JOSE VICENTE, son of Don Nicolas Ortiz and Doņa Josefa Bustamante of Santa Fe. Farmer, 5'2"
age 18, single. Reddish hair and eyebrows, fair skin, light blue eyes, aquiline nose, small mole on
left cheek. 16 Oct 1784. Signed. Discharged 31 Mar 1795. Re-enlistment 16 Mar 1799

ORTIZ, JOSE VITERVO, son of Jose Vigil and Juana Rosalia Lopez of Santa Fe. Farmer 5'5" age 23,
married. Black hair and eyebrows, dark eyes, short straight nose, some pockmarks, scant beard, scar
left eyebrow, swarthy light skin. 1 Aug 1805. Signed by mark. Discharged  31 Jan 1816.

ORTIZ, JOSEPH MIGUEL, son of Don Torivio Ortiz and Doņa Leonarda Coca of Santa Fe. Cowboy, (Vaquero)
5'1" age 22. Red hair, dark eyes, fair freckled skin, chestnut eyebrows, round face, heavy beard,
sharp nose. 3 Dec 1771 in place of Joaquin Martin. Signed by mark. Discharged 1 July 1779.

ORTIZ, JUAN ANTONIO, son of Jose Miguel Ortiz and Tomasa Anaya of Santa Fe, living @ La Caņada.
Farmer, 5'2" age 27. Light chestnut hair and eyebrows, dark eyes, straight nose, fair skin, mole on
left ear. 15 Sep 1808.

ORTIZ, NICOLAS, son of Don Gaspar Ortiz and Doņa Francisca Martin of Santa Fe. Farm laborer, 5'2"
age 22 and single. Red hair and eyebrows, dark eyes, sharp nose, fair pockmarked skin, thin beard,
mole o left side of ear. 1 Sep 1792 in place of invalid soldier Salvador Tenorio. Signed by mark.
Re-enlistment 1 Apr 1805. Many citations. On invalid roster 1 Sep 1815.

ORTIZ, PEDRO ANTONIO, son of Alferez, Don Juan Ortiz and Doņa Maria Rivera of Santa Fe. Farmer, 5'
age 23 and married. Fair skin, red hair and eyebrows, light blue eyes, short nose, moles on outer
edge of rt. ear and eyebrow. 17 Mar 1785. Signed by mark. Discharged 9 Aug 1796.

ORTIZ, TOMAS, son of Don Nicolas Ortiz and Doņa Gertrudis Paes of Santa Fe. Farmer, 5'1" age 28.
Chestnut hair, dark eyes, rosy skin, round face, sharp nose, heavy beard. 20 Mar 1771 in place of
Agustin (no surname). Signed. Service record. On invalid roster 1 Nov 1800.
