San Marcial  Masonic Cemetery, Socorro County (updated)

The San Marcial Masonic Cemetery was published in the New Mexico
 Genealogist, March 1970 issue (vol 9, No. 1, p.8-10).  When the 
San Marcial Catholic Cemetery was surveyed in 1998, a visit was 
made to the Masonic Cemetery to check on some tombstones and 
determine how the cemetery was surveyed since the names are not 
in alphabetical order. It appears that the cemetery was surveyed 
by dividing it up to 5 or 6 sections.  Each person or persons then 
surveyed that particular section. The sections were then combined 
in no particular order.

A very cursory comparison of some tombstones with the list published 
reveal some additions. The additional tombstones found are listed 
below:  There may be more.
