  MAGDALENA. Pop 800. Socorro county. A village on the A T & S F Ry 28 miles w
of Socorro the county seat. Sustains Catholic, Methodist and Presbyterian
churches, a bank, 2 hotels, an opera house and a commercial club. A weekly
newspaper the News is published. This is one of the largest cattle sheep and
