  BELEN. Pop 1,500. Valencia county. A thriving village on the A T & S F Ry 30
miles s of Albuquerque and 8 s of Los Lunas the county seat. Has Catholic,
Episcopal, Lutheran and Methodist churches, a bank, 4 hotels, a flour mill and 2
opera houses. Two weekly newspapers the Tribune and El Hispano-Americano are
published. Fruit raising is the principal industry. Exp W F & Co. Tel W U and
