	Member of Territory Legislature.  First gentile (non-Mormon) to sit in Utah Legislature.  Brothers,

	She was the infant daughter of Carrie Payne.  (Pioche Daily Record)

SACKETT, Jim	Died, 10 May 1876, Carson City
	He died from a long lingering illness.  One of the oldest pioneers in Nevada.  (Pioche Daily Record)

SCHLINGLOSS, Ferdinand	Died, 7 Jun 1876
	Suicide; buried Lone Mt. Cemetery.  Shot self thrugh the body, then through the head.  He was a 
	jeweler for Edwards and Tuckey, Merchant St., San Francisco.  (Pioche Daily Record)  (see also 
	Sacramento Daily Union, 6/9/1876 uses name SCHLINGLESS)  [Note:  There was also a Lone 
	Mountain Cemetery in San Francisco.  Difficult to tell if this man died there or in Carson City.]

STRICKLAND, Charles D.	Died, 25 Mar 1876, Carson City
	Suicide; committed at Mrs. Pierce’s boarding house, by taking Laudanum.  He left a note.  (Pioche Daily Record)

TOMPKINS, Edward	Died, 14 May 1874, Carson City
	Killed in a saloon fight.  Native of Michigan.  Age 22 yrs  (Pioche Daily Record)
